Yes, possibly. That's not my call though. Certainly if we were rolling our own from scratch at this time the SD card path would be less costly than making a USB host. Curiously, the FTDI USB host module is cheaper than the competitor memory card modules.
Also interesting that Microsoft has some kind of license on long file names which affects the various non-PC product that want to use memory cards that are compatible with LFN. |
