#160086 - Removable Memory: Redux |
Since we haven't talked about it for a few weeks ;-) I thought I would post some recent findings about this topic.
We have a couple of customers that require data captured by our 8051 products be placed on removable media such as memory card that a PC can read or even USB memory sticks. We are not at the point of doing this from scratch as the quantities are not there (we'd have to probably move to something like an ARM). There are, however, a few interesting modules on the market that make this possible. Here is my latest sampling of what's on the market that an 8051 can talk to over a serial interface: USBWiz Logomatic DosOnChip VDIP1 VDRIVE2 |
