Wouldn't it be less costly to skip the USB?
have you considered CF or SD? The "talk" IDE, so you can treat them as you'd treat any IDE HDD. There are several published app's that use 805x's with CF, notably one from the Sandisk site: http://freenet-homepage.de/olafschwa...0106R2.pdf and I assure you there are others.
