#154580 - Ringing? Responding to: ???'s previous message |
This is speculation, but limits on fall time are generally used to prevent ringing on the bus.
The 400KHz spec came after the 100 KHz spec, and so likely represented an attempt to fix problems seen at the 100 KHz rate. The 1MHz spec has much lower pull-up resistors, which may act as bus terminations, and so they did not need to specify the fall time. Again, this is speculation. |
