#152627 - There was one on eBay yesterday ... Responding to: ???'s previous message |
and it was priced at < $200!
When I originally purchased the 2467B, it was because of the microchannel-plate optical amplifier, which enables one to see events (such as rare but occasional metastability) that occur once in 10E9 sweeps rather than barely allowing visibility of events that occur once in 100 sweeps. I'd had a 2465B in my lab at my then-employer's facility for some time, and struggled with metastability. It's not a feature you need often, but it's one you do need some of the time, and there's really no way to tell a sampling oscilloscope to detect and display such an event. I'm told that some of 'em can do that in the latest generation, but I haven't seen it demonstrated. These are partly digitally controlled, so I don't like 'em as well as the much older (250 MHz) 475A that I use most of the time. RE |
