#151887 - key matrix
Responding to: ???'s previous message
Indeed.

The funny thing is I made this very error when I was young and stupid (albeit in a more complicated configuration, so it blew only upon a multiple keys press, which was quite impossible for anybody but an octopus - yet it still happened from time to time... :-) . It had to be fixed using diodes in series with the column drivers (row inputs were sensed via comparators so the voltage shift was not a problem)).

There is no need to blame the user for a "mistaken multiple press" - this is the fault of the designer not to take every possible measure to prevent hardware - and also software - failure as a consequence of any *possible* user input.

Good quiz, thanks Erik.
