the datasheet collectors 1) never show a link to the errata 2) never show a link to other stuff re the chip (appnotes etc) 3) often have an old version of the datasheet 4) usually insert 47 hooks in your PC 5) often drop stuff due to the 'standardizing of the format' they do 6) Do not care, which the mfgr does/should. Erik Fortunately, I haven't got screwed by the points you mention in all these years of scouting for datasheets. Maybe I'm just lucky ;) 47 hooks? Why not 50 or maybe 56? For those who are paranoid of things like javascript/vbscript, disable it. I use the Foxit reader instead of Acrobat. Correct me if I am wrong - the hooks you talk of are done by exploits in the internet browser not the PDF reader. The most important thing to note is - I do not entertain datasheet collectors. These make you register into their database just to get a datasheet; then perhaps use the database to spam you. Point 6 - I personally think the mfgr wouldn't care unless you are worth a million chips to them in sales. JF Among other things, he develops those route-destination signs for busses. If they don't sell a million, it's a recession. RE |
