#148848 - I have tried Firefox Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Long time ago, when Firefox was new, I tried it. I also tried Opera. I observed that these browsers needed to download things like the flash player and other addons to get back to the basic functionality that IE offerred. Nowadays, most sites use flash based user interfaces (dont know what they call it).
So, I switched to Avant Browser which is a wrapper for IE and offers a tabbed interface. I know it has all the weaknesses that IE offers, but, it works for me. It has the RSS browser, multiple home page support, pop-up/ad blocker etc. Today, I am sure Firefox and Opera must have overcome the above mentioned points and must be 100 times better; no wonder they have a following. |
