- Fault-tolerance mechanism to ensure that lights in opposite directions don't show green at the same time.
- Brown out detection/back-up power system to make sure lights go into flashing state if there is an outage - Proper reset control into safe state - Manual override in case traffic light is near a stadium/arena so police can control traffic on a gameday |
