Telefunken's and Matra's contribution to Temic's '51 portfolio?
I did not even know that Engins Matra ever made '51s, but do know they made Simcas. A guy (Marcel K.) at Engins Matra, at one time, desperately tried to hire a guy name Jonn K. and yours truly, we had a lot of fun in the process. I recall a few quotes: After "the package" was presented John said "that looks great, the only thing missing is the compensation for living in this country". At a lunch Marcel K said "there is a shortage of frogs legs" to which John replied "last I heard there was 40 million pairs". Poor Marcel, he desperately wnated to hire us and had to take all that 'abuse'. Anyhow, eventually John gave in. Erik |
