why is Pascal so unpopular between the embedded developers.
I think that it is a simple case of "who came first" When I, long ago, moved from 'pure assembler' to 'mixed language' the dominant HLL for the '51 was Keil and for that reason C became 'the standard' just like Windows became 'the standard' just by being there first. Had Linux and '51 Pascal been out first, much might have been different. Erik |
