A Boost Convertor raises the voltage.
A Buck Convertor lowers the voltage. A Buck Boost can do both. Usfull if you want 12V in and 12 out. You Power supply filters , Inductors , and capacitors must have enough energy to hold up through the dip. Plus enough filtering so the output does not change. If you look at regulator datasheet it should have numbers for line and load regulation. |
