Excellent white paper. Looks like since it's not being used for audio and I don't need the temperature range, ceramic is the obvious choice.

However, I'm still not totally clear on the ESR needs of a LP2992 linear voltage regulator. The stable range recommended is 5-400mOhm. I'm planning to use a X7R 10uF and given the limited frequency range in Table 4, I'm unsure if this will cut the mustard.
