#137065 - Ceramic instead of Tantalum? ESR? |
I'm using a Linear Technology LTC2493 (A-D Converter). It recommends the use of a 10uF Tantalum capacitor along with a 0.1uF ceramic. Are there any potential negative side effects to using a 10uF ceramic instead of the tant?
Also, I have a regulator that requires a 10uF output cap with ESR between 4 and 500 milli-ohm to remain stable. Why do high capacitance ceramics not specify ESR? Thanks, Tomas |
