For quite some time, CYPRESS was the primary fab for ALTERA's large CPLD's. Some of their devices were made by Intel, some by TI, some by Cypress, and, probably, others. Each of these manufacturers benefitted in some sense, usually having the parts licensed for them to produce under their own brand.
