Thanks for the coments Erik.

However I still need to know which ports in p1 are sending the bcd to the 7 segment display. After an hour and half I still don't see how it's being done. Look I am in my fifties maybe someone my brain cells are dead. Could you please give me the answer. You can call me stupid if you want. But I am confused. Also which part of code gives you information for the answer?

I do not have to read about 7 segment display I know how to light them. I have made common cathode and common anode display over the years as a hobby. Also multiplexed displays for cap. meters and frequency counters but 8051 code is still new to me.
So how about little help ok. I can also write code to lcd's.
So would you please answer my question and not tell me how I show know the answer.
