#124951 - not a bad price! Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Such a probe wouldn't help me much, as mine are typically 500 MHz probes, or, at least 250 MHz, depending on which 'scope. Nonetheless, those who work with MCU's in general seldom need to examine signals of bandwidth greater than 100 MHz, and might be well served with such a probe.
Erik's question was not about where to get a probe, however. It was about where to get probes for which the accessories are available post-purchase, as in the case wherein a probe, together with its host oscilloscope, goes out into the field and comes back without some of those accessories. In Erik's case, this was the hook clip, I think. Those are famously unavailable, though they are a part of the accessory "kit" sold by various vendors, and it's long been a habit of "field engineers" to snag them whenever they could, simply because it's very difficult and inconvenient to replace them, and the probe itself is, in many cases, nearly unuseable without it. I never buy a probe unless it is entirely complete with all those widgets that accompany a new probe. Most of them are never called into service, but, you never know. Each probe should have them.
