The doc's on GCC and those on SDCC are both a mite difficult to use. I think that's the reason for the post, and not the fact that he doesn't want to read 'em. They're full of self-contradictions, and things that contradict reality because they've not been updated.

I'm not convinced the O/P is working homework here. He should probably inquire in the GCC or SDCC mailing list, though.

I'd guess he's hoping, in desperation, to find someone who can actually answer his question. If he means SDCC, I think someone should help him. I'm not the one, though I might benefit from the answer. I've never figured out how to use this tool.
