eric, who is he? Oh, well, I'll answer on his behalf. The "rather predictable response" is a result of the recurring statement "to do LEDs you multiplex". Yes, in some cases, that might be the best solution, but it seems that the designs from the days when chips actually cost money still survive today when you can get chips for pennies. Now, of course, Jez would be enamored by something that crammed it all into one chip :) Erik |
