but I am always curious between perceived sound quality and quantifiable measurements.
My very first job was designing radio station sound equipment (quality counts, cost does not). We made some prototypes and they were all measured analyzed and characterized to the hilt. Then came the "real" test, the conductor of the symphony came out to chose. Did he chose the one that "measured best"? Of course not, he chose one of those that "measured worst". Well, my next job was mainly digital, and that was the end of my career as an "analog expert". Erik |
