#114864 - Too hard for a beginner?? Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Hi again Andy...its all looking a bit too hard to do at a software level....The unit I need to modify is a HF transceiver...The customer is setting up remote site transmitter ,and i was hoping to be able to switch LSB/USB/Frequency by software....it wont be too difficult to do it at the hardware level though....
A lot of the comms on the processor board to the open collector electronic switches are done on a I2C bus ,so I may try to find a I2C to USB??/RS232?? converter ,before i go cutting up the circuit board...are there reading/tracing programs etc available to examine what is happening on a I2C Bus?? I've never played with I2C before,so any help would be appreciated. thanks David |
