I had these particular ones made in the early '80's when I was developing circuits on that particular backplane. Yes, I think that's a close dimension. I call it nominally 4mm, but it's actually 5/32".
I'm not planning to have any more made until there's a real need. I've had S-100 bus, Multibus-I and Multibus-II, as well as VME, among others made along the way. These were once a product line of mine, but with the decline in popularity of wire-wrap, due, I guess, to the popularity of SMT packaging, the demand seems to have evaporated. Moreover, the environmental cost of making boards here has driven board cost so high, that I'm not willing to speculate on wire-wrap board inventory. When I need more, I'll deal with it, probably by having them made in China. U.S. houses charge too much, and their quality is far too low. For short runs, they won't provide the right solder mask, and they won't hold tolerance. RE |
