I'm not planning to emulate what things happen inside one processor cycle (i.e. inside the 12 clocks of the original '51), as I feel that is largely unneccessary for the scope of the project. It wouldn't be impossible, but would add a lot of largely unneccessary complexity in the architecture.
I am planning on supporting timers etc, and SFR reads and writes are already implemented as callbacks, so the emulator is pretty extensible. If I have the time, I'll add emulation of several '51 variants. |
