#103210 - Tin your self Responding to: ???'s previous message |
chemicals required
distilled water Stanous Chloride aka tin chloride Thio Urea conc. sulphuric acid mix slowly 12 ml of conc. sulphuric acid to 1 litre of distilled water. take caution never add water to acid(Always add acid to water. sulphuric acid is corrosive). Now add 3.8 gms of Tin chloride to this and stir. and at last mix 49.5 gms of thio urea to the solution and stir again. If temprature is lower than 100 DF warm the solution up. Normally adding sulphuric acid to the water is exothemric and warms the mixture itself. at this point your PCB should be ready and cleaned surface, cant store this solution for long. dip your board and see a layer of tin over your copper traces. see here Abhishek |
