You might want to have a look at the appnote and code with the above name from Atmel's website.

Don't be afraid of the title - there's nothing AT89LP-specific in it, it is a 10+ year old appnote where only "AT89C" has been rewritten to "AT89LP" (as the places, where they forgot to overwrite it, e.g. in the .asm file, give away).
