In your diagram you show using the 'HC573 as a buffer. This part is normally a transparent latch and can be used as you show however I would recommend that you consider instead to use an 'HC244 type buffer part. If you are making a product you should find that buffer type parts will be a bit lower cost than latch type parts. For example at a USA mail order distributer called Mouser the DIP package 74HC573 is $0.59 in quantity 100 for the TI part. Contrast this with the TI 74HC244 in the DIP package the price is $0.35 at the same quantity level. Michael Karas |
