is impossible to use the USB HID protocol with the microcontroller 87c51? You cannot use the USB HID protocol directly with an 87C51 - you will need some sort of external "adaptor" device. I have reviewed the "UM232R Module Data Sheet" As michael says, i will have to install the FTDI driver on the PC? The FTDI chips can be used in 2 modes: one doesn't require a driver (it uses the built-in drivers of the OS); the other does. but i dont need to install this driver on the micro 87c51? Correct. The 87C51 remains totally oblivious of USB. I'm new to using this micro 87C51. Then why are you starting with such an old dinosaur?! What is your purpose here - is it a school project, or just some hobby "fun", or what? It sounds like you are also new to USB - is that right? If so, you really need to concentrate on getting familiar with the microcontroller first - before you add complexities like USB! |
