#181283 - Dual PS/2 to USB Converters Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Most of the Dual PS/2 to USB converters in the market place use a chip called the CSC0101A from Chesen Electronics in Taiwan. Here is a link to the product page for the device.
http://www.chesen.com.tw/p3-products-CSC0101A.asp I learned about this chip a few years ago by purchasing four of the adapter type cables like the ones Andy showed. I then cut them open to see what is inside. Back at the time I found, in conversations with Chesen, that it would not be feasible to get parts from them in small quantity. They primarily wanted to deal with large OEM customer that would use their part in large volume to make cables. It is likely to still be the same today although I do note that they now have more products and have changed the company logo. Michael Karas |
