Summary so far:
The 87C51 has no built-in USB capability; therefore your options are:
1. Use a different chip - one that does have USB; 2. Add USB externally. Michael has given you one possible way to achieve option (2). Another way to achieve option (2) would be to have the 87C51 provide the classic PC keyboard interface, and use a converter from that to USB; eg, http://www.misco.co.uk/applicati...?CatId=747 Note that the original IBM PC keyboard (again, long before the days of USB) did actually contain an 8051 processor... |
