#180175 - Silabs - updated IDE on Win7 - no go |
Hi this is a cross post from Silabs.
There is something really wrong with v1.9.0 of the USBHID.dll supplied with the latest release of the IDE/flash programmer etc at Silabs. I think that is has been released in the last day or so. I have a shiny new windows 7 machine and downloaded the latest IDE, and flash programmer. Although the USB debug adapter is correctly enumerated it does not connect at all. As I have several adaptors and my old machine, I could determine that it is an incompatibility beteween v1.9.0 and windows 7 - it goes OK on vista. Also using the v1.8.0 dll that I happened to have archived, I could use this in the USB-reset utility and sucessfully reprogram the USB debug. in Win7, then I could use the production programmer to actually program a device in win7 (using the 1.8.0dll) As I have the new IDE it wouldn't let me copy over the v1.9.0 with the older 1.8.0..... So basically I need the old IDE, where can I get it? |
