#179223 - I only use Atmel for 8051 Responding to: ???'s previous message |
If you tried all suggestions including keeping ALE floating and using a 1K resistor on PSEN then you might have a go around with the errata. According to the errata:
3. FLASH - Frequence limitation for flash programming sequence. ..... minimum external frequency 7 MHz.
4. Crystal - Determine the correct capacitors on Xtal1 and Xtal2. .... we advise customer to look the application note "Analyzing the Behavior of an Oscillator and Ensuring Good startup" You can find the errata here: http://www.atmel.com/dyn/resou...oc7665.pdf You can find the application note they ask the customer to look at here: http://www.atmel.com/dyn/resou...oc4363.pdf If you have additional problems perhaps upgrading FLIP to a newer version will work. If the problem still persists, make sure your hardware connections are accurate and according to Atmel's doc: http://www.atmel.com/dyn/resou...ctions.pdf Finally, you might have damaged your chip by not using the 1K and you might consider replacing it if you think there is nothing wrong with your hardware. |
