#179210 - Apples and Orange Juice Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Its like comparing the great apple pie your grandmother gave you on your birthday to the "made from concentrate" orange juice your mother gave you on her haste to get off to work on time.
Adan, strive to understand exactly what the differences there are to those two different sets of port initialization. Also you should try making the equivalent function code in the C version as you see in the "working" assembler version. It may be that these two different versions of program were designed to initialize and utilize the port pins in different ways....one to drive the LED by sourcing current out of a high level push-pull pin and the other to sink current into a low level BiDir pin. You have some data sheet reading to do and fully understand the differences between these two programs. As Erik has already pointed out twice, the port initialization in the two is completely different. Get that sorted and clear in your mind and you may be closer to comparing apple juice to apple cider. Michael Karas |
