Get a C language book or look at youtube.com for C language basics (Youtube is a new source of information that is rarely utilized!). Then get SDCC from:
http://sdcc.sourceforge.net/ and you should be ready to go. Eventually, you might try getting the real deal in C compilers like Keil, IAR, etc. Another option is to buy a demo kit from someone at a dirt cheap price that includes Keil. The reason why is that I have heard that you get a better "limited" version than what you can download. Be warned, if using the free stuff your time involved will be much more intensive (maybe), but I claim you learn a lot more and you will come to enjoy the ease of the more costly software. |
