Have you checked Jan's previous comment about delay loops in 'C' ?

Rather than just randomly change delays, have you looked at what's actually happening, using an oscilloscoscope?


No, there is no magic here!

This certainly means that there is a fault (or faults) somewhere; eg,

bad reset;

bad connection(s);

marginal timing - so it mostly doesn't work, but is occasionally "close enough";

marginal signal levels - again, mostly doesn't work, but is occasionally "close enough";

software fault(s) - eg, uninitialised variables;

etc, etc,...
