#172385 - not 'demanding' but 'asking' is encouraged Responding to: ???'s previous message |
People should not come here demanding that people help them figure out which protocol to use by telling us every conceivable detail.
not 'demanding' but 'asking' is OK your point flies straight in the face of the problem of answering posters that are hellbent in using the wrong solution to a problem. also, asking anyone to give less details is downright ridiculous. I can't count the threds that went astry because of insufficient details We are not consultants. In a way we are, just a limited in the time we are willing to spend for free Otherwise, you will always get these questions with answers that suck up a lot of time. WhicH would be the exact result of not "telling us every conceivable detail" There is no need in telling everybody every detail about the project oh yes, there is, see above You will never get people asking questions (or should I say "real questions") if you do not supply them with knowledge. how can you do that without the OP "telling us every conceivable detail", often the OP has no idea which details are significant Erik |
