Now you say you can set it!

Are you sure that you are sufficiently familiar yet with this emulator to use it effectively?
Perhaps you just need to spend some more time getting properly familiar with this equipment?

If the breakpoint is correctly set, but it isn't hit, then either the emulator is faulty, or the code is never reaching that point!
