If your ICE software doesn't support that feature, you need to contact the ICE vendor and ask them why they don't support that feature, and then send their ICE back to them, as it's clearly a piece of rubbish! Processing I/O from external hardware is a vital function of an ICE. If it's incapable of that, you could replace it with a piece of software, which won't do the job either, but won't cost as much.
