#168552 - Probably boot loader confusion
Responding to: ???'s previous message

I know only of one: http://www.flashmagictool.com/assets/re...Update.zip . Beware, this is an "updater", not the bootloader itself

I tried with this first:

P89V51RD2_V07_UPD_ISP.hex

OK, so now I realize that this is the updater!

You need a genuine bootloader to be programmed to BLOCK1.

Is this the one : P89V51RD2_BL_V05.hex (Thanks to Andrew for his "insiders guide to the NXP website")

Also, I don't know how exactly does your programmer work. After programming both BLOCK0 and BLOCK1, double-check if they are programmed properly, and if the programmer did not perform a spurious chiperase between programming both blocks (it should not, but one never knows, bugs happen).

Yeah, this could also be the problem I am not able to read back the BLOCK1 boot code after programming (even with the lock bit open).
