Thanks for all the help that you provided.....

I am now able to write entries to the MCU. But the problem i now have is that if i write 0 seconds to the seconds register, it stays at zero. If i write 10 sec to this register then it stays at 10. The clock is not ticking. Its stuck at one place,.

What else could be wrong with the program...or the hardware
