During power on some of the outputs come on.
a) pins used as input will not "come on" if the input is low b) fried pins will not "come on" c) some inconsistency in the design of the chip, you ARE using Arghmel pins that later "come on" will be due to a) if they can not be "brought on" it can be a) or b) Is there a sure shot way of ensuring that the out puts are suppressed at power-on. NO The output devices are transistor arrays whose base is driven by 74hc574. there are legio 8 wide drivers, some will have a reset, or you can use a pull up or down resistor on the output and use OE Erik |
