Is the Keil-output code consistently smaller? Does it consistently run faster?
Is it more reliable?
Is it more expensive ? YES Can I hack it at my will? NO (and, at least the "more expensive" may turn out to be the other way round in specific cases) JW PS. I know of at least two "hacks" made to support specific derivatives, AFAIK supported by the respective chipmakers: the Dallas' 390/400 which made it to the "official" variants of SDCC; and the Infineon's XC8xx, which is unfortunately not "official", ergo is bound to a specific - and rather old - version of SDCC. |
