I just re-read your comments, and perhaps my suggestion won't work. It sounds as though you are space (depth) limited in your design, so you are probably just running a cable to the interface connector on the back of the display, and a 5mm power plug...
Unless there's room for a small board (now, I think NOT the EZ-NOW, since it takes up the entire back of the LCD), say across just two of the standoffs near the interface connector, you won't be able to have the max232 circuit near the LCD. This sort of defeats the concept... -Dave |
