Thanks Oliver,

That's good to know. Next time I do a redesign I'll revisit the choice. I can assemble the CP2102 without a problem now, so there's no advantage there, but it'll be nice to know I can choose the less expensive of the two. Also, I don't remember Silabs offering any multi-port parts, which was the second aspect of FTDI I found appealing.
