#189731 - Do those work with the various ATMEL "programmers"?
Responding to: ???'s previous message
There have, at various times, been complaints about non-functional programming links when USB serial ports were in the mix. Is there an FTDI version that actually works with the various (mostly ATMEL) programmers that have been subject of programming failure complaints?

If so, it wouldn't be a bad thing to make it public. I personally avoid this issue by using an old PC that has a real serial port on it. That's never caused me any grief.
