That looks like a good resource. I've downloaded it just to have around for reference. As for my specific questions, I'm more interested in experiences others have had using specific makes/models of instruments. I'm pretty sure that I want a TDR type instrument, something in the time domain, over say a network analyzer which operates in the freq domain, because I want to see impedance discontinuities as a function of distance (t∙V_r). On the other hand, I believe I remember reading somewhere that one can use the phase information from a VNA (Vector Network Analyzer as opposed to a Scalar Network Analyzer) to infer time domain information. In any case, my experience is limited to what I've read, so I would very much like to hear from anyone who's actually done such measuremtents. Thanks, Joe |
