The Freescale RS08 series have on-chip regulators, and they come under 50c, so they are long way from the 'bigger chip' end of the scale.
The Zilog 0411 (8051 core) series have 10 pins SSOP, also with on-chip regulators, and around $1.

I should add SiLabs to the ARM vendors who now offer 5V parts examples I did above.
* 2.7–5.5 V supply voltage (internal regulator enabled)
* 1.8–3.6 V supply voltage (internal regulator disabled)
