#185201 - Software Bloat - or Feature Bloat?
Responding to: ???'s previous message
Much of the so-called "bloat" in (particularly) desktop software is largely due to feature bloat rather than any specific inefficiency of the code.

It takes a lot of code to do all the fancy colours, smooth roundy edges, multimedia, gesture recognition, etc, etc, that are now standard.
