I think the reason we have such poor quality software design is because we have for many years, in this country at least, had kids going through university being taught by people who are pretty much the bottom of the pile when it comes to industry experience or real life experience of any kind whatsoever, someone asked me if i would ever consider teaching and my immediate reaction was 'No why would I? and until they pay industry standard wages and increase the intake standards by about 120000% nobody in their right mind ever would.I might think about it if they said they would bring back capital punishment for not doing assignments. |
