Boxes for things like this are not normal here either. However these have to be used for an extended period of time at a customer / field site and so thus the box. I'll actually have to build several boxes and I'm waiting for feedback from the folks that pay the bills as to just how many are needed. If over two or three additional capture devices are needed I may elect to make a quick PC board for inside the box instead of hand wiring each device. The PC boards can save a lot of wiring time but will extend availability. Of course for the first one the perf board with plated holes every 100 mils comes into play and I hand wire it in a couple of hours.
