I really like the approach. Your point on the versatility of Excel is exactly the same that motivated my original article and subsequent book. Why don't you submit it to Electronic Design or EDN and make a bit of cash out of it? Down memory lane: As an aside on the topic of 16 segment displays, TI (way back when) introduced a whole new family of products in the Integrated Injection Logic technology (I2L). One of the products was the AC5947 which was an 18-segment display driver (16+2decimal points), yet another one of TI's innovative products that got discontinued. -Aubrey |
